What is a portable handwashing station?

A portable handwashing station is a free-standing sink with its own fresh-water tank and a waste-water tank. Users pump water with a foot pedal, so they never touch a faucet. Our two-sided stations let 2 people wash at once and come stocked with soap and paper towels.

How many handwashing stations do you need?

Plan 1 two-sided handwashing station for every 2 porta potties at any event that serves food. Construction sites need one where workers handle paint, concrete or other harmful materials. Farm field crews need 1 handwashing facility for every 20 workers.

How long does the water last?

A full handwashing station gives about 500 hand washes, which is enough for a one-day event of 200 to 250 guests. On job sites, the weekly service refills fresh water, empties the gray water and restocks soap and towels.

For multi-day events, festivals or busy crews, add a refill visit. Ask about it when you call.

Questions people ask before booking

Does the handwashing station need a water hookup?
The station needs no hookup. It holds its own fresh water, which we fill before delivery, and a separate tank catches the used water.
Can you use a hose to refill it?
A garden hose can top up the fresh-water tank if you run low. Use drinking water only, and never pour soap or anything else into the tank.
Is soap included?
Soap and paper towels are included and restocked at every service. Hand sanitizer is inside each toilet unit as well.
Do you rent handwashing stations without a toilet?
Handwashing stations rent on their own. Food vendors, petting farms, and offices with plumbing work going on often rent one by itself.
Is the water heated?
The water is not heated. For winter events, keep the station out of wind, and we add anti-freeze to the waste tank when hard freezes are forecast.
