What does OSHA require for field workers on a farm?

For hand-labor field work by 11 or more workers, OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110 requires 1 toilet and 1 handwashing facility for every 20 workers. Both must be within a quarter-mile walk of each worker, or within 5 minutes by vehicle where the terrain makes walking impractical. Toilets must be cleaned and supplied with toilet paper.

Maryland and Delaware farms may have added state or buyer audit rules (food-safety audits often ask for service logs). Check your audit requirements; this is not legal advice.

How do toilets keep up with a moving harvest crew?

Use a towable porta potty paired with a handwashing station that the crew moves as the picking moves. Or place stationary pairs at field edges so no worker walks more than a quarter mile. Service is weekly; peak harvest weeks can add a second visit.

Which farms and seafood operations rent from us?

Field toilets go to vegetable and melon harvests, poultry farm crews, nurseries, orchards, grain-drying sites and seasonal seafood operations in Dorchester County. Units sit at field edges, lane ends and packing sheds where the service truck can reach them in wet weather.

Tell us the field location by GPS pin, the crew size and the harvest dates, and we schedule delivery, service and the move between fields.

Questions people ask before booking

Do you keep a service log for food-safety audits?
Each service leaves a dated tag on the unit door, and we can email a service history for your audit file.
Can the truck reach a field after rain?
Service trucks stay on lanes and firm field edges. Place units where a pickup truck can reach them in wet weather, or use a towable unit your crew can pull to the lane.
How quickly can units arrive for a harvest starting tomorrow?
Next-day delivery is standard for orders placed by 5 p.m. Call by noon for same-day delivery.
Do I need separate units for men and women?
OSHA 1928.110 allows a single-occupancy unit with a lockable door to serve both. Many growers add a second unit for larger mixed crews.
Can you deliver to several fields on one order?
Units can go to several fields on one order. Send a GPS pin for each spot and the number of units for each.
